Why RIM changed its name to BlackBerry



Research In Motion is changing its name to BlackBerry in move to refresh its imperfect image as it commences marketing a reengineered line of BlackBerry 10 smartphones.



Chief Executive Thorsten Heins made an announcement during the BlackBerry 10 launch, the company's hopes for a streamlined identity as it embarks on a make-or-break drive to regain lost ground in the smartphone market it once dominated.

RIM is hoping to perform very well by the launch of new Blackberry devices.

Shriya Saran quits Twitter



A famous Kollywood actress Shriya Saran has called it quits on social networking platform Twitter. She decided to withdraw from the social networking site after people posting obscene tweets.



For the past sometime, she had been getting several insulting comments from her followers and she was so disappointed that she even vented her frustration over the issue multiple times.

Despite her requests, she continued to get such tweets and she finally tweeted "Done with twitter. I'm not on twitter from now on. Crazy stupid people. Can't take all the trash written."

Many actresses have been quitting the social networking sites after getting repeatedly disturbed and bullied by insensitive fans and followers.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg steps into politics


Social giant Facebook confirmed that CEO Mark Zuckerberg will soon enter into politics next month by hosting a fundraiser for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.


Facebook spokeswoman Sarah Feinberg revealed to AFP "Mark and Priscilla are happy to host him at their home to support his re-election."

"They admire his leadership on education reform and other issues." 

It is a big step by Mark especially after getting grand success in to social field.

Samsung Electronics sold 63 million smartphones in Q4: Report



Recently a report by research firm Strategy Analytics revealed Samsung Electronics Co, world's number one handset maker, sold around 63 million smartphones in the fourth quarter. It also holds 29 per cent share of the global smartphone market.



Further report revealed that previous year; Samsung sold 213 million smartphones with a 30 per cent market share, followed by another tech giant Apple Inc, which sold around 135.8 million iPhones with a 19 per cent market share.

Samsung is also aiming to be on top in 2013.

Karisma Kapoor wants to try comedy once again

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor wants to try her acting skills in comedy once again. She is eager to do a "light-hearted" comedy.



"I never plan anything. As of now, I would like to do a light-hearted comedy," she revealed.

Karisma, who made her Bollywood comeback with "Dangerous Ishhq" previous year, has done comedy films like "Andaaz Apna Apna", "Coolie No.1" and "Biwi No.1".

Karisma will soon be seen in the remake of one of the bollywood’s best movies "Satte Pe Satta".
